Men’s Ministry

Mission/What to Expect

The Men’s ministry - Brothers in Christ - seeks to give glory to God by developing disciples of Christ through training in day-to-day application of the Word of God and through service to the needs of others.

Our passion is to demonstrate Jesus Christ to our families, church, community and world by continually growing in His faith, love, wisdom, humility, power and oneness.

We do this by meeting regularly, holding one another accountable through discussion and prayer, studying the scriptures, welcoming newcomers, and facilitating mutual mentoring relationships. We are committed to God’s Word (truth), prayer, evangelism, service and grace-centered accountability.

First Saturday Men’s Breakfast (FSMB)

From October  to June, we meet on the first Saturday of every month from 8am - 9:30am in the McLean Room at MPC. We ask men to commit to a program of four monthly meetings, during which we will listen to lectures, discuss and pray together.  We begin each series with a kick-off event and close each series with a social function. We would love to have you join us. Your RSVP is helpful but not required. Click here to email your RSVP to the church office.

FAQs

1. What occurs at the men’s breakfasts?

Typically, we listen to a guest speaker for about 20 minutes and then gather in groups to discuss ideas raised in the discussion, and then pray together.

2. Do I have to RSVP to attend the breakfast?

We greatly appreciate your RSVP as it helps with our food planning and preparation. We fully understand however that schedules change and this might not be possible. You are always welcome to attend, regardless of an RSVP!

3. What are the ways I can get involved in the men’s ministry?

The best way to get involved is to come to the Breakfast and experience the fellowship first hand. We believe you will greatly benefit both from the time spent and from meeting other men in attendance. This will also help you see areas where you might best be able to get involved.
