For children and youth with disabilities or special needs, our Buddy Program provides trained individual assistants within the classrooms and Children’s Church to facilitate inclusion with peers and to assist those with disabilities or special needs to join all the children in learning more about God and in meeting Jesus as Savior and Lord.

For parents of children or youth with disabilities or special needs, we provide parental support and fellowship with other parents.

For personal assistance or to serve others in any of these areas, or in some new area not listed, please contact the church at 703-821-0800.

Lay Counseling

Lay Counseling at MPC is provided at no cost by mature members of the church who have been recognized to have a calling to spiritual counseling. These counselors are committed to true biblical counseling, a process that recognizes that Christ is the only true source of life and health, and involves coming alongside another, building a relationship, and drawing them to Christ. Our lay counselors have been evaluated and trained and are supervised by a licensed professional counselor. The lay counselors at MPC support the work of the pastoral staff and the elder shepherds, and are not intended to replace the need for professional counseling in circumstances where required. For more information, please click here to download the Lay Counseling brochure, or contact Carolyn Sinclair at carolyn@mcleanpres.org or 703.394.0568.

Pastoral Counseling

Pastoral counseling is available to those who attend McLean Presbyterian Church. Premarital (for those being married by an MPC pastor at MPC), individual, and couples counseling are performed by appointment. Please contact the church office for further assistance.

Prayer

Our prayer chains are connected by email and by telephone. If you have a prayer request or praise you would like us to lift up in prayer, please send it to mpc@mcleanpres.org and we will include it in our Weekly Prayer & Praise Letter. (Please indicate if your prayer request is confidential). For situations requiring immediate prayer we will enact our prayer chain. Also, please join us each Wednesday evening at 7:30pm for our Mid-week Prayer meeting. All are welcome.

Second Saturday Tool Team

The Second Saturday Tool Team (SSTT) is a group of people from within our church who enjoy the special fellowship that comes from working together while helping others. Their mission is to enhance the sense of community and support within our church body. Once a month, they pair off and help people who can use a hand with small jobs around the house. If you would have a small job around your house that you could use help with, or would like to join the team, please email Ed Sinclair.
