McLean Weekly for April 22

Pastor's Corner

From James...

History has had many momentous days. And today, Good Friday is one of those: “By the cross we know the gravity of sin and the greatness of God’s love toward us” (John Chrysostom). There is much here on which to reflect.

But even Good Friday isn’t the most important day. Why? Because it is followed by Easter Sunday! Easter Sunday is, quite simply, the most important day in history. “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Cor 15:17). But Christ has been raised and so we – and all who look to him – are saved. Join us as we celebrate, have others join us too (click here!). This is the most important day in history. And it’s ours.
